I am a composer, sound designer and musician. I like to make Electronic Music by manipulating every day sounds and every day things. The track on this page, for example, is the manipulated sound of the baler (a paper and plastic compression machine) recorded in the Warehouse I work in.  I enjoy writing songs on the guitar and every now and then playing them live.

I have also provided Clarinet, vocals and banjo (very badly ) for bands The Miserable Rich and The Self Help Group.

As a freelancer last september I was employed to create the soundtrack for an enchanted forest as part of Brighton and Hove’s annual Car-Free day. Members of the public were surrounded by the magical sounds of the forest  as they sat in one of the chairs hidden in amongst the trees

that took over Bartholomew Square on Sept 20th 2009. I have been involved in a number of projects so please click on the links to find out more about them and see examples of my work.

I am currently working on an Interactive soundtrack as part of the final project for my MA at Sussex. As a starting point I have made a short film and composed the soundtrack.  The audience can then control the levels and certain parameters for each of the different  tracks that go into making up the entire soundtrack itself.  It is also possible for those audience members that would rather not mix their own soundtrack to watch the film as many times as they like and on each occasion bear auditory witness to an automated soundtrack that is different every time it is heard……
